Anthesis Chief Sustainability Officer Paul Crewe: ‘Business momentum for sustainability transcends political cycles’
Anthesis works with 30% of the FTSE 100, 20% of the Fortune 500, and large brands on their sustainability strategies.

Between anti-ESG policy in the US and deregulation in the EU, sustainability leaders may be facing a less than favourable political landscape – but for Paul Crewe, Chief Sustainability Officer at consultancy Anthesis Group, sustainability remains “commercially imperative”.
Crewe has been leading sustainability from within Anthesis’ C-suite and board for the last seven years, and managed the sustainability strategy at Sainsbury’s for 10 years before that. He’s seen his share of ups and downs, and this experience has convinced him that “there is a huge business momentum for sustainability that definitely transcends political cycles”.
