Accountability and granularity in climate targets: Watch CSO Futures' briefing with SBTi

2025 is a crucial year for climate targets, with companies either having to set emissions reduction goals for the first time, or present their progress on previously announced targets.

As the halfway point to many companies’ interim emissions reduction goals, 2025 is shaping up to be a year of accountability.

In this CSO Futures briefing with the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), held on February 12, 2025, Kim Schoppink, Europe Regional Lead for the SBTi presented the initiative's guidance and tools for target setting, as well as upcoming changes to the Corporate Net Zero Standard.

She also answered audience questions about consequences for not meeting targets, recommendations for complex businesses working across different sectors, and rules around restating emissions baselines.

The webinar is now available to watch on replay for CSO Futures subscribers.
